  • Does the building have an elevator?
    Unfortunately, the building is a historical 5-story walk-up built in the 1900s. Meaning there is no elevator on the premise. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, we will help bring all your belongings to your room.
  • How many flights of stair to get to my room?
    Our property has a total of 5 stories. The rooms with private suites are located on the first and second floor. All of our rooms with shared bathrooms are located on floors 3 and above.
  • What are the check-in and check-out times of a hotel?
    Check-in is is possible starting from 3pm. Check-out is 11am. We cannot guarantee late check-out.
  • Can I get early check-in?
    Check-in is at 3pm as we have to make sure your room is in perfect condition for your stay. If the room you are staying in is ready before 3pm we will be happy to let you in early.
  • I will be arriving late in the evening at the hotel. Can I still check-in?
    There is a hotel Ambassador at all times at The Flat. You can check-in at anytime after 3pm!
  • Does The Flat allows pets?
    Unfortunately, we do not allow pets on the hotel.
  • Can luggage be stowed before check in / after check out?
    Yes we can store your luggage before check in and after checkout.
  • Is parking available?
    Unfortunately, we do not have parking on our facilities.
  • Could I receive packages? Is there a fee?
    Guests are free to receive packages during their stay & are entirely responsible for communicating/coordinating its arrival. There is no fee for this service.
  • Does my room have a private bathroom inside?
    Only our suites have private restrooms. The other rooms only have shared bathrooms. There is two full-bathrooms with a shower and toilet that are cleaned regularly for your comfort. However, all rooms in the hotel have a vanity sink and mirror inside.
  • What's the difference between a King Suite and King Room?
    All of our Suites have private en suite restrooms. Our King Rooms have shared restrooms.
  • Can we get extra beds in the room?
    Unfortunately, we are a small property and no additional beds will fit in the guest rooms.
  • Are the rates on your website per person or per room?
    The rates displayed on the website are per room.
  • Are taxes included in the room rates?
    The room rates only reflect the subtotal. Once you confirm your reservation, the total price including taxes will become available.
  • What is the average size of the guest rooms?
    Our suites and rooms vary in sizes from 63 sq ft to 178 sq ft.
  • How do I find availability at The Flat NYC?
    At the top of the web page, choose “Hotel.” Once the availability chart appears, simply input the dates you are interested in and any room accommodations that are available will show on the screen.

  • Where can I find the address to the hotel?

  • Why do you need my credit card details?
    In general, your credit card details are only required as a guarantee for the hotel in case you don't arrive or cancel too late.
  • Does the hotel need a deposit or a payment in advance?
    A full payment is required to confirm the reservation. A deposit of $150 will be held on a credit card for incidentals and released upon check-out.
  • What types of credit card can I use to guarantee the reservation?
    MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted at The Flat.
  • I do not have a credit card. Can I still book a room with cash?
    Unfortunately, we are a cashless hotel and only accept credit or debit cards.
  • Is it safe to fill in my credit card number? How secure is the your website?
    Your credit card information is sent to us through a secure server. We use the latest, most secure technology available, which encrypts all your personal and credit card details.
  • How do I know that my reservation is confirmed?
    When you have completed the steps of the reservation process, an instant on-screen confirmation will appear. It will show your reservation details as well as your booking number. We advise you to print it out. Within a couple of minutes, you will receive a confirmation email containing more information such as the hotel’s contact details.
  • Can I book a hotel room by telephone or email?

  • I have booked a guest room at The Flat but I did not receive a confirmation by email. What do I have to do?

  • How many rooms can I book in one reservation?
    A maximum of 10 rooms can be booked in any one reservation if available. If you want to make a reservation for more than 10 rooms, please send an email to booking@theflatnyc.com.
  • Can I book a room at The Flat for day use?
    Unfortunately, it is not possible to book The Flat for day use. The minimum that can be booked through our website is one night.
  • How can I cancel or change my booking?
    You can cancel your reservation or send us a request for a modification by clicking on the link at the bottom of your confirmation email.
  • Do I pay a cancellation fee?
    You have one week prior to your check-in date to cancel a reservation free of charge. 2 days before your arrival you will be charged 50% and 100% 24 hours before.
  • How do I know that my booking has been cancelled?
    After you have cancelled your reservation you will receive an email to confirm your cancellation. If you do not receive the cancellation email, please send an email with the details of your reservation to booking@theflatnyc.com.
